InNova accuses the company Apple, Google and RIM patent infringement on the spam filtering technology

Another trial of a loud series of “David vs. Goliath more” could begin soon. Virtually unknown up to now, the patent firm InNova Patent Licensing LLC appealed to the court with a lawsuit against a number of leading players in the IT industry, including companies Apple, Google, 3Com, HP, IBM, Yahoo, Research In Motion (RIM), Dell, Symantec, McAfee, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, AOL, etc.

In its petition, sent to the Texas court, the patent owner accuses these companies of patent infringement under the number 6018761 which was issued to the founder InNova Womina Robert (Robert Uomini) about 15 years ago. This patent describes the methodology used to distinguish spam entering the e-mail, and the messages that really matter to users.

This InNova immodestly declares that it is due to its spam filtering technology e-mail system is still functioning. Obviously, this company wants to get monetary compensation for alleged violation of the patent holder to which it is, moreover, seems to have the required amount of compensation may be far from small.
